Visit The Murals

Vivid, eye-catching, and sometimes whimsical, each of Mesquite’s brand-new murals inspires a sense of wonder. Found at Front Street Station, these eight 7-by-10-foot works of art were chosen among 40 submissions by amateur and professional artists, as well as students. The result has transformed the area into a sprawling outdoor gallery that you’ll want to take your time exploring.

EVENTS

January 2025

Arts Center

20, 2025, 8:00 AM - March 21, 2025, 5:00 PM - Phil Samson | Synapse Synchronicity. Please join the Mesquite Arts Council as they welcome North Texas artist Phil Samson to the Mesquite Arts Center's main gallery. [Synapse Synchrocity] exhibition presents wall sculptures referencing imagined abstracted hybrid biological forms. Phil Samson created these sculptures while interacting with the plant genetic engineers at the University of North Texas' BioDiscovery Institute. Some viewers' analytical and creative thinking might be activated to generate new cerebral synapse connections that can help resolve the sculpture's identity, actual scale, and possible purpose. For others, these sculptures appear as unknowable abstractions that can both enliven and reflect their environment.

20, 2025, 8:00 AM - March 21, 2025, 5:00 PM - Write Handed | Write Brigade. Write Handed is a creative trio made up of Agustin Chavez (a.k.a. Dummy Fresh), Arturo Donjuan, and Bobby Cerda based in Dallas, Texas. As accomplished artists and designers, we've worked with major brands like Nike, New Balance, Red Bull, the Dallas Cowboys, the Dallas Mavericks, Texas Rangers, WWE and more. While we're proud of those collaborations, we're equally passionate about working with small businesses to deliver polished, elevated experiences that leave a lasting impression. Our goal is to share our work and knowledge with our community through workshops, artist talks, murals, and projects that inspire the next generation. Write Handed is an extension of The Sour Grapes Collective.
